Back again

I've been M.I.A. for a while, but a lot has been going on!

• I passed my qualifying exam. I am now officially a Ph.D. candidate!
• I moved to a new place and I'm saving $330 a month in rent. And all of that extra cash will be going to my projects!
• I painted my new room (first time I've ever painted a room) and I'm almost done decorating. I have much to post about!
• I've been going crazy on Pinterest.com. Check out my boards!

But until I get myself organized enough to post about the new house, I wanted to show you guys (if you exist) something else I've been thinking about and working on.

I've recently become a sewing pattern hoarder. I went from about 6 to around 25 now. And I have never completed a project based on a pattern before. So this morning I spent some time looking around for dresses I like that also sort of look like dress patterns I have to motivate me to get started. It was pretty fun and I thought I'd share the results:
